A business center is a communal, office-like place for the residents of an apartment building or other type of community. It gives tenants access to the internet, desktop computers, printers and other office equipment and provides a quiet place for them to work.
1. Business centers can help those who work at home
Your apartment may be small and there might not be enough room to add an entire home office — equipment is expensive and there are some things you might need but don’t you use often.
Business centers eliminate the need for you to purchase such equipment, like a printer/ fax machine, and give you an adequate space in which you may work.

2. You can meet with a group in a business center
Most business centers have a large space that can accommodate a group of people. In case you’re needing to hold a meeting, host a study group or work on a group project, you can do it in the business center rather than trying to cram everyone into a small apartment. There are enough tables, chairs and couches for everyone in the group to sit comfortably, so no one will have to sit on the floor.
3. It may increase your rent price
The more amenities, the higher the price, so having a business center may increase your monthly rent payment. But that extra money does allow you to use equipment that’s expensive and you may not normally buy for yourself. Plus, some business centers have beverages and snacks available at no extra cost.
Is it worth it to live in rental property with access to a business center?
It all depends on what you need and will use. If you’re someone who often works from home or needs to use office equipment, it may be worth the higher price tag to live somewhere with a business center
